Pfizer's $18 million Lord Florey Learning and Conference Centre is located adjacent to the existing administration building within a campus-style environment overlooking a generous landscaped area. The centre will cater for training and conference-related functions and will act as a focal point for information and knowledge sharing.
The learning centre comprises 3,500m2 of space over two levels and incorporates a 135 seat state-of-the-art auditorium, training facilities, offices, a full commercial kitchen and 165 seat dining room.
The Learning Centre was designed to have minimum impact (including visual) on the environment. Energy saving features and materials chosen from a palette sympathetic to the surrounding environment were key elements of the design.
